Medford, Ore., April 20, 2022 – Hunter Communications unveiled the donation of a new $6,000 scoreboard for Phoenix High School on Wednesday, April 20th prior to the varsity softball game against North Valley.

Carey Cahill, Vice President of Sales and Marketing said, “At Hunter we believe in doing the right thing and putting all people first.  That is why we are proud to partner with the Phoenix High School All-Sports Booster Club to support girls’ sports and provide the girls softball team with a quality scoreboard they deserve.”

The scoreboard donation was part of Hunter’s initiative to participate in the rebuilding process after the Almeda Fire in 2020 which destroyed over 2,600 homes and displaced 3,000 residents of Talent and Phoenix.

At the unveiling ceremony, Brent Berry, the Superintendent of Phoenix-Talent Schools thanked Hunter for the donation, “We’ve been saying for many, many months it does take a village to recover and rebuild.  And this is another way to show that resiliency.  Thank you to Hunter Communications.  Thank you for this beautiful scoreboard.”

Hunter also helped with the installation process.  One of the construction crews removed the old scoreboard, set new posts, and install the new board.
