Oregon Lifeline Program
Hunter Communications is pleased to participate in the Oregon Lifeline Program. As a local Oregon-based company, we understand how important it is to have access to a reliable high-speed internet connection at a fair price. The Internet has become a base standard for children to receive educational resources, for adults to work from home and submit online applications, and for families to remain connected.
While the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) has ended, many consumers may be able to obtain financial assistance through the Oregon Lifeline Program. This is a federal and state government program that provides a monthly discount on high-speed internet service for qualifying low-income Oregon households. Through the Oregon Lifeline Program, qualifying Hunter customers can receive a $19.25 monthly discount on their internet service.
If you were previously enrolled in the ACP, or if you think you might be eligible for the Oregon Lifeline Program, the steps are simple to get started. Note that being a previous ACP participant does not guarantee your eligibility for the Oregon Lifeline Program. First, ensure you have current high-speed internet access with Hunter Communications. Next, complete the online application for the program with the Oregon Public Utilities Commission (OPUC.) OPUC reviews all applications and has the sole authority to make decisions regarding eligibility for the program. Once approved, you’ll find the discount applied to your Hunter Communications account within 30-60 days. Make sure you review the FAQ information below to have a full understanding of the program’s requirements and how it operates.
